Space Travel could soon become a reality and Austin, Texas woman will sell it to you. Janie Bullard is one of only 74 licensed space travel agents. She is booking seats on Virgin Galactic. Each seat costs about $200,000 and takes travelers to the edge of space for about five minutes. But already she’s booked almost 500 people for Sir Richard Branson’s commercial spaceflight company.
The CEO of travel company Virtuoso, the umbrella travel group that helps handle the space flights is going to be among the passengers on the maiden flight of SpaceShipTwo, which could launch sometime later this year. The first Spaceport America in the New Mexico desert is still under construction and the ships are still being tested.
