The car drove through 14 countries, along the entire length of the Pan-American Highway from Alaska to the southern tip of Argentina. The four-month journey helped prove that an all electric car can drive that distance despite the lack of electric charging stations along the way.
The two-year project was driven by six Imperial College London engineering students who wanted their Radical SRZero sportscar to be the world’s most focused, fun-to-drive alternative propulsion vehicle. The team also wants to help encourage the next generation of scientists and engineers by showing them how far they can go in math and science.
