
Giampaolo Giuliani is an Italian physics lab technician and expert on cosmic particles. But he is not a scientist. So when he predicted a major earthquake would strike in central Italy many had difficulty taking his warnings seriously.
But after a 6.3 earthquake hit the city of L’Aquila on April 6, many are taking a second look at Giuliani and his predictions about radon gas being a precursor to a big quake.
