Lost Space Tool Bag Becomes Viewable Junk

The latest piece of space junk–an expensive NASA tool bag–is making its rounds in the night sky over North America and western Europe. It is scheduled to burn up on re-entry later this year.

A week after Heidi Stefanyshyn-Piper lost the $100,000 bag of tools while performing maintenance on the International Space Station, Kevin Fetter captured the orbiting kit from his backyard observatory.
