Thousands of spinal cord injuries and disease could disappear overnight if doctors and scientists could figure out how to turn some genes off and others on.
This medical mystery is getting a boost from the institute funded by billionaire Paul Allen. Today, the mouse spinal cord atlas was unveiled in Washington D.C. and it will provide a road map for neuroscientists asking specific questions related to the brain.
