Specialized equipment at the Argonne Powertrain Research Facility includes a full-dilution emissions sampling system with a water as well as hydrogen analyzer. The test cell is equipped with an integrated hydrogen warning and ventilation system.
In the race to zero emissions, BMW is leading the way with its super duper ultra low emissions hydrogen powered car. Right now Super Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle (SULEV) is the strictest standard but the new Hydrogen 7 series may raise the bar by doing something no car has been able to do.
