Autistic kids can learn, a new study says. Researchers at University of Washington found that toddlers can distinguish between common words and unfamiliar words. And, autistic kid brains react in a similar way to typical kid brains when it comes to hearing those words in reverse. From this so-called word soup comes evidence that autistic toddlers can show some signs of learning.
